Overview
RxNote is a dual-platform note-taking app that lets users create and share notes accessible via QR codes or NFC chips. Notes support markdown content, images, location data, and typed actions like links and WiFi credentials. Access is controlled by visibility settings — public, auth-only, or private.
The backend is a Next.js app with REST APIs and public note preview pages. The iOS app is built in SwiftUI with App Clips support, so anyone can scan a QR code or tap an NFC chip and instantly view a note without installing the full app. The main app provides full CRUD operations with OAuth authentication.
The repository structure separates the backend and iOS targets cleanly. The backend handles API routes, database operations via Drizzle ORM with Turso, and server-rendered note previews. The iOS side includes the main app target with SwiftUI views and OAuth login, plus an App Clip target for the scan-and-view experience.
