Overview
RxClipsCore is a workflow execution engine written in Swift that lets you define and run complex, dependency-based workflows composed of shell commands, Stencil templates, and JavaScript. The engine builds a directed acyclic graph from job dependencies and executes independent jobs in parallel for maximum efficiency.
The architecture is built around declarative, Codable Swift structures — repositories contain jobs, jobs contain steps, and steps run scripts. Lifecycle hooks (setup, teardown, beforeJob, afterJob, beforeStep, afterStep) give you control at every stage. The JavaScript engine runs in a sandboxed JavaScriptCore environment with native Swift API bridging.
A standout feature is the macro system: @JSBridge automatically generates boilerplate for exposing async Swift functions to JavaScript with Promise wrapping, and @JSBridgeProtocol ensures protocol consistency. The engine provides real-time status tracking for the entire workflow, individual jobs, and steps.
