Overview
Claude Code Notification Bot is a Go application that hooks into Claude Code's event system and forwards session events to Telegram in real time. It handles multiple hook types — prompt submissions, tool calls, file writes, session starts and ends — each formatted with rich Telegram messages using Go templates.
The bot runs as a lightweight webhook receiver that Claude Code calls during its lifecycle. Each event type produces a structured, emoji-annotated message showing what happened, when, and with what parameters. Configuration is handled entirely through environment variables for secure deployment.
This is particularly useful for long-running Claude Code sessions where you want to monitor progress from your phone. Start a complex coding task, walk away, and get notified on Telegram as the agent reads files, makes edits, runs tests, and completes — no need to keep the terminal in view.
