Overview
AgentKit is a Swift implementation of LLM agents with multi-agent support, designed to bring AI-powered conversational interfaces natively to Apple platforms. It provides a clean API for connecting to multiple LLM providers — OpenAI, OpenRouter, or custom agents — and orchestrating them within a unified chat experience.
The framework includes a SwiftUI chat layout implementation out of the box, so you can drop a fully functional AI chat interface into any iOS or macOS app with minimal setup. It supports tool calling with automatic execution, reasoning and thinking token display, and seamless switching between different model providers.
AgentKit is distributed as a Swift Package and targets iOS 17+ and macOS 14+. Its modular architecture separates the agent logic (Agent module) from the UI layer (AgentLayout module), letting you use just the parts you need — whether that's a headless agent pipeline or a complete chat experience.
